My Story

Meet Benny. Benny is a very tiny (8lbs) mini Dachshund that has had a rough life up until now and is looking for a better future. This little guy was used for breeding his whole life and kept either in a crate or outside. When Benny broke one of his canine teeth and it became infected and stinky and he became so ill he would no longer eat, his owner decided she didn't want him any more. Poor little Benny was in so much pain, he was so thin from not eating and the smell from his mouth was so foul it was almost unbearable. We will be having Benny neutered in the very near future as well as having his teeth cleaned and fixed/pulled as well as having him microchipped and vaccinated. This little guy is extra super sweet and just loves everyone, his little tail never stops wagging. We do know Benny is good with other dogs but he can be a bit bossy even with big dogs. We don't know if Benny is good with kids or cats as he has never lived with them. Benny is crate trained and we are working on housetraining him but his new owners must be willing to continue to work on this. Benny is AKC registered and his birthday is June 20, 2000 so he is six and a half years old. If you would like more info on this little guy please contact Brenda a 256-0321. We do ask that you complete an adoption application, if you e-mail me I will send it to you via e-mail. We do ask that you allow to to come into your home and make sure the yard is securely fenced and safe for this tiny guy and we ask that you agree to and sign an adoption contract and a donation of $200. is requested to help with the large vet bill Benny incurred.
