*UPDATE 11/6/23: Bennie’s DNA results came in, and his breed mix outlines his entire persona. Bennie is a mix of American Pit Bull Terrier, German Shepherd, Border Collie, and Catahoula Leopard Dog. These 4 breeds are highly intelligent, and he will need a family who is familiar with intelligent working breeds as the prey drive and herding instincts are prevalent. Bennie would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of mental and physical stimulation through various activities such as agility, scent work, etc. Meet Bennie! Bennie is 47 lbs and is built like a Lego. He is estimated to be between 4-5 years old. Bennie was dumped at a Dog Squad event on 12/17/22. He was neutered and microchipped, but his former owners never responded to GCAC’s outreach attempts. According to the microchip, Bennie was adopted from Greenville County Animal Care in December 2021. This boy is a goofball! His ideal human would be someone who lives an active lifestyle.
