Ben

Ben is a 70# lap dog. He is Lab/Weimaraner. He has a soft silky coat with silver on his ears and snout. He is very sweet and loving and wants to be near people all the time. Ben used to live with someone who abused him. It is very surprising that Ben loves and trusts people so much considering his background. Neighbors could hear Ben and another dog screaming in pain as they were being beaten. The owner didn’t care if the fence was broken and they got out and ran close to a busy street. Soon, the other dog who lived with Ben and who was his best friend was hit by a car and killed. Fortunately Ben was saved by someone and brought to Second Chance Pets. He loves to play and have fun with some dogs, but some others he is not so happy to be around. He does not like cats, but loves children. Ben is looking for a home where he can forget the painful parts of his previous life and he can show his new family all the love he has to give.

Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Petco on Bay Area Boulevard. The adoption fee starts at $125. All dogs are heartworm tested, on heartguard, fixed, vaccinated, dewormed and defleaed. All dogs are microchipped.
