BEN

Ben is a male purebred Walker Coonhound who came to the shelter from Magoffin County. Ben is a very handsome boy who is estimated at 1 year of age. Ben only has one problem....he is extremely thin, showing his hip bones and rib bones through his snowy white coat. We were told that his name is Ben so we are assuming he had a prior home though we can't understand why he is so thin. Our vet says he is in good health otherwise and as we all know, it is easy to put on weight! A little extra food and even some high calorie canned food and treats would go a long way to helping this boy. Ben has gorgeous brown and black markings and he is a very gentle soul, as most Hounds can be. He would love to spend the rest of his life being a wonderful companion for someone and hounds have been known to be big couch potatoes given the chance!
