Ben

Ben is a 5 year old neutered black lab. He weighs in around 85 lbs and is a little chunky so we have been trying to get him to lose some weight. He didn't have the best prior life and we are hoping to place him in a loving forever home. He does have something going on in his rear area. He has slight ACL tears in both knees and vet thinks he has issues in his back. Unfortunately when on xrays it will not show nerve damage. He may be a candidate for adjustments of his back. He may always be like this or potentially get worse with age. Any potential adopter will have to realize that he may need assistance with walking in the future. He is currently on glucosamine to help with his knees. He should go to a home with no cats and he can be picky on what other dogs he gets along with. Once the Adoption Application is reviewed and a background check is done someone from the shelter will be in contact with you.
