Little Miss Bella, all 54 pounds and 7 months of her, is petite and extremely sweet. Big guys as well as ladies who have helped with her rescue haven fallen hard for this cutie. She’s an expert cuddler and loves people. No person or dog is a stranger to outgoing Bella for more than about a nano-second. She loves everything about life and is ready to play and romp at the drop of a hat.
Here’s the latest report from our Foster Coordinator: “Laura (Bella’s foster mom) called today to sing - and I mean REALLY sing - the praises of Bella. Apparently we have an ‘advance placement’ dog or if she was human, she'd be enrolled in the gifted and talented class! Laura says she's super smart and way beyond what you'd expect from a pup her age.
“She knows sit, down, stay and off. She responds quickly to commands. She's crate trained and happily goes in there. She can hold off on potty for 12 hours at a time. She plays beautifully with others: play bows with the friendly dogs and turns away if another dog growls. She can get a little greedy with toys, but when told to share, she does so. She chews, but totally appropriately for her age. They LOVE her!”
