My Story
06/07/24 04:28 DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I: I met two new friends today! I was a bit shy and nervous at first, but once they helped me with my leash and harness, I leapt into the car, all set for adventure. I settled in and felt the wind in my fur while we drove, and I even took a little nap on the way back. We arrived at the park, and my tail couldn't stop wagging. I saw so many fascinating things: dogs running around, people playing, bikes zooming by, and cars driving past. Everything was so interesting, and my new friends made it even better by giving me lots of treats. I sniffed every inch of grass I could find and discovered new scents. The whole place was full of exciting smells! Then, as if that wasn't enough, we went to Pet Express. My nose went wild as soon as we walked in. I sniffed all the food, toys, and treats, bouncing from one aisle to the next. The shelves were packed with things I wanted to play with and chew on, and I could hardly contain my excitement. By the end of the day, I was exhausted but so happy. My new friends really knew how to make it fun, and I can't wait for the next adventure! Three Words to Describe Me are: Curious, energetic, joyful. Notes from My Walker: Bella is a delight. She's a bit shy and nervous at first. When we met her, she barked at us, and the shelter volunteer had to help us get her harness and collar on. However, once we did, she was ready to go. With a little pull on the leash, she rode beautifully in the car. She showed interest in other dogs, people, and small animals like lizards and birds, but she was always happy to be distracted with a treat or two. We went for a long walk, and she enjoyed sniffing the grass along the way. She took in all the new scents, her tail wagging gently as she explored. Our visit to Pet Food Express was a big hitBella sniffed everything, from the aisles of treats to the toys on display, and seemed to enjoy just hanging out in the store. She was fascinated by the different smells and occasionally nosed around in search of treats. On the way back to the shelter, she fell asleep, tired from the day's adventure. Despite her nap, she woke up friendly and bright-eyed when the staff came to return her. Bella is such a sweet, lovely girl. We need to approach her slowly and calmly at first, but she deserves a home where she can go on long walks or even run and receive lots of love. Her gentle spirit and friendly nature make her the perfect companion for anyone willing to give her a chance. 05/16/24 03:06 DOG DAY OUT REPORT Today I got picked up and went for a nice, long, 7-mile walk. Was a little slow to warm up to my walker and barked a couple of times before we left but once we got going I was great. Passed lots of joggers and bikers and sometimes tried to run with them! Met a few dogs who ran up to me while they were off leash and sniffed then kept walking. Didnt care much about squirrels, ducks or geese but enjoyed asking for pets along the way from my walker. Got a nice treat from starbucks at the end of the walk.
