*adopted*Beauty is a lab/shep/heeler mix about 40# born approx Nov 09. She came from a home with too many dogs! She's now house broken & kenneled during the day while I'm at work. She has free run of the house when I'm home & sleeps with me at night. She's a complete sweetheart and follows me everywhere around the house. I think if she had a dog companion she wouldn't do this. She LOVES playing with other dogs and would do well in a home with another dog. She's very curious about my cats & would love to play with them. They pretty much ignore her. When I first got her she was terrified of the leash and the car. Now she sees the leash and gets excited to go for a walk. She rides very well in the car and loves sticking her head out the window. She's a litte afraid of new people but after a few mintues with them (and some treats) she's fine. I can tell she's very smart and will be a wonderful companion for a patient person who's willing to teach her right from wrong. She knows how to sit & stay...as long as she doesn't have to stay too long! We're still working on fetch and not jumping on people. I think she'll do fine with older kids but she might have a bit too much energy for young kids that she could easily knock over. She is still a puppy and has lots of energy!
