Beaurigard-Adopted

Great news for Beau, he has moved in with a former TnT Pei named Pebbles and her amazing family in Washington! He is doing great and has been re-named Barney! We LOVE Pebbles and her family and are so happy Beau has been adopted by them too!
Thanks to everyone who helped this happen and to New West Animal Shelter for taking such good care of Beau during his short stay!

Update!
Beaurigard is still at the shelter but has been warming up to staff and those who visit. His vision is poor so he has to smell you first but once he does his tail starts to wag and he is happy to be leashed up and taken for a walk!
He has met several other dogs and seems to only want to sniff them and move on.
We think he would do best in a calm home with other animals or on his own. He likes to take it slow and is easygoing. Loud noises startle him and we think too much activity would as well. So, a home without lots of noise, with dog-savvy kids that are a bit older and dogs or a cat of similar nature would be a good match.
He is good looking boy who is polite but a bit aloof. Once he gains a few pounds and his eye heels from recent entropian surgery he will be a stunningly handsome fella. He is about 35lbs right now and on the small side for a male height wise. His coat and ears are good, clean and he is a healthy boy.
This guy will be a great companion, loyal and loving to whoever takes him in. Please consider adopting or fostering him as he is in a shelter at the moment and will blossom in a loving home!

Introducing Beaurigard:
We received a call from the New Westminster Animal Shelter this week asking if we would help find a home for a Shar-pei who is now at their shelter.

If you are able to offer a home to this young adult male Pei who is very handsome please contact us or the shelter! We are hoping to help find him a permanent or foster home. One of our volunteers went to meet him and took her very dog savvy 10 year old boy with her and said Beau was a good boy! He is a ;ittle shy but once he gets a sniff of you and a moment to meet you is friendly and happy to hang out.
He has met a few other dogs at the shelter and did fine with them and was also introduced to a cat or two without issue. However, he came in as a stray so we do not know much more about him.

Beaurigard will need to be neutered and has an issue with one of his eyes that has to be addressed, no diagnosis has been made yet. This will all be taken care of before he is adopted. He is a healthy boy ready for a new home as soon as he has had his eye mended and been neutered!
