Beau

Beau is 1 1/2 years old and is full of energy, spunk, and goofiness. He shows his excitement, he shares his love, and showers with you with kisses. His potential adopter will need to come to the shelter a few times for him to start to trust. To not only get to know him, but to see if you're in for the long haul and devote time and patience for him. He's worth it. Adopting a rescue with an emotional past isn't always easy or convenient for most, but to this animal it can make THE difference in his life. While he still is kennel barrier reactive, we continue to try to reduce this stressful trigger. Will he ever recover from this fear? Maybe not, and it may be something that we may need to accept. No one knows what the road ahead has in store for us. All we can do is to continue trying different situations, positive reinforcement, be aware of stress signals, and trust your gut. What we do know, is that with consistent positive reinforcement, structure, and patience, he makes strides everyday.
