Bear (Harvey)

Meet Bear Bear is estimated to be 1-2 years old. He came to us listed as a Great Dane/Pit Bull mix. However, his trainer suspects that he may be a Cane Corso mix. He loves to be loved and give it back to his people. He is playful, smart, treat motivated, loving, loyal and protective. Truly a complete package. He thrives under guidance from his people, he lives to please. Bear LOVES kids and would do best in a home with older children, as he is completely unaware of his size and tends to knock littles over in excitement. He is just that excited to love his people. He is looking for a home where he has open space to run, with or without other dogs. He has done well with other dogs once he knows them, as long as they're respectful. He's working on meeting new dogs and hasn't bothered cats other than the occasional sniff. Bear can be the perfect couch potato OR be the active hiking buddy. He knows many commands: sit, lay down, bed, kennel, leave it, yes, no, etc. He does great for baths, nail trims, perfect gentleman on the leash once that bond is formed with him, does great in the car (he LOVES car rides), learning the art of fetch - he's GREAT at chase but not so much at the drop it part yet! He'd rather play tug. He can be people selective, almost always towards men. We suspect a male was not nice to him so trust with him is earned. But once you have it you'll have it forever. He needs continued training to be more open to meeting new people and being gentle with toys. Bear has endless potential and love to give. He is neutered, vaccinated and ready to go!
