Bear-Bear

Bear-Bear is between 7-9 years old, and comes into rescue with one of the saddest stories of all. Bear lived in a trailer park most of his life. When his family decided to move away, they just left Bear there with no food or water. They didn't even ask anyone to help him. So poor Bear lived in the HOT southern heat under a trailer, completely abandoned. He went for a long time with no regular food or water. When animal control finally found him living alone, they had to shave his coat due to all the thick black oil covering it, and extreme matting. Bear has been treated for Heartworm. He has hip and left elbow dysplasia, and is being treated with medication to ease his pain. It is unimaginable how uncomfortable he had to have been living in the heat, laying on the hard ground, with no food or water. Bear has the true heart of a Golden. Even with being mistreated he is always wagging his tail. He is as sweet and gentle as they come. He loves other dogs and adores people!!! Bear is in a temporary foster home, and LOVES being inside. He is housebroken, and has lovely housemanners. If you are REALLY looking to make a difference in a dog's life who has never known love or kindness, now is your chance!!! Bear needs a family. Bear would do best in a home where mobility would not be hard for him. Please think about Bear, you would be doing a wonderful thing helping this angel.
