My Story

Barraccar's name has been changed to Bear -- he is in Maine in foster care and his foster mom thought he looked just as cute as a little bear cub! He is quickly learning housetraining, is great with the two resident dogs, and is just a FANTASTIC puppy. Someone will be lucky to cuddle with Bear for the rest of his life!

Hi, I'm Baraccar!!! I was dropped of at at the pound with my littermates on 11/1/06. I didn't do anything wrong!! how could I have? I'm only 9 weeks old. I'm telling you, the shelter is not a fun place for a rolly, tumbly, ball full of fuzz puppy like me. the shelter workers say they are concerned because I am a black lab. They say black labs are the most highly euthanized in the United States -- everyone passes us by -- and that if we are not adopted by the time we are 3 months old, they don't know what will happen... makes me kind of nervous, but I'm so cute and happy, I'm not worried!!

The shelter says they think I look like a full-blooded lab. But as I was just abandoned in the middle of the night and no one has seen my parents, we don't know for sure. Sure wish they could understand dog-speak so I could tell them!! Oh well.

I need a home who can put up with puppy antics. I am a lab mix puppy and have lots of energy - to play, run, play, chew, play, run, play... did I say run and play?

Can I come home with you????

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING FOR ONE OF OUR PARTNER SHELTERS IN WYNNE ARKANSAS !! These animals are in dire need of homes because the shelter is over crowded and must euthanize regularly. If you cannot provide a home, sponsors are welcome and needed for heartworm treatment and/or other medical expenses for dogs coming to New England. Foster families are also needed from time to time. Fostering a healthy dog or one that is in treatment will also save lives!

Applications can be found at www.almosthomerescue.net and should be e-mailed to [email protected]

Transportation from Arkansas, is a paid transport and costs are included in the adoption fee. The adoption fee is $250.00 for altered dogs. (includes vaccinations, spay/neuter and transport from AR) $350. for unaltered puppies, with $100 refundable after spay/neuter. Dogs 6 years and older have a $200 adoption fee.
