My Story

Bear (5) turned 4 in April. His owners could not afford the treatment he needed for a severe ear infection, so they turned him over to rescue. We are treating his ear and will have the vet re-evaluate him to determine what treatment options there are for Bear. Despite the pain he is really coming around. He loves to go for walks. He enjoys petting although the ear is off limits. He happily wags his tail when he sees us, Bear likes to lay in the shade and take in the surroundings. He is slightly over weight, weighing in at 142 pounds. If you are interested in adopting Bear and have a fenced in yard please e-mail us at [email protected] or call us at 920-293-8885. Update: Bear with exercise and a sound diet is now at a healthy 104 lbs. We continue to treat his ear but it is no longer painful to the touch and he is very tolerent of us working with his ear. Bear is now crate trained , leash trained ,house trained and rides beautifully in the car . Bear is a laid back boy who now enjoys playing with other dogs and being social.
