My Story

Bear's mom is a Great Pyrenees and dad is an Anatolian Shepherd. He is the fluffiest puppy and may have a typical long fluffy GP coat although it is a medium grey in color. He also has streaks of cream in the grey and white on the neck, chest and 'boots'. He looks the biggest due to his coat. He is certainly the bossiest. A definite alpha in the making. He is people friendly and comes right up for attention. He is not real happy being lifted up and held, but then in a month or two no one will be able to lift him anyway. He is alert and very smart. He is the first one to notice activity or someone approaching. He rides well in a car and goes easily into a crate. He has not messed the crate, the dog igloos or outside the pen. I think he will be easily house trained. He has not barked since he came here! Born 11/29/04. On 4/01/05, at 4 months of age, he weighed 27 pounds. The vet gave him a clean bill of health. He will be neutered on 4/08/05 with follow up immunizations on 4/22/05. If you would like to learm more about bear you canl complete an online application by clicking the links on his official bio page located at http://www.dogsonly.org/ODBearpop.htm About Bear's family: Mom is an all white Great Pyrenees of about 90 pounds. The dad is a light grey and cream Anatolian Shepherd. Both parents are used as livestock guardians on adjoining farms. The puppies were not planned and the owner was not taking care of them. They are now in a foster home and adjusting really well. They are very social with each other, other dogs and with people. They ride well in a car and go easily into a crate. They have not messed the crate, their dog igloos or outside their pen. I think they will be easily house trained. They were born Nov 29, 2004. They have all been vet checked and immunized. Amazingly, none of the puppies have barked since they came here! They all seem quite content to let the other dogs take care of the guarding and alerting job.
