Meet Bear! He is a 3.5 year old husky mix. Like your typical husky pal, he is very smart, energetic, loyal, and playful! The way to Bear's heart? Lots of delicious treats, a long game of fetch, and a good game of tug (that you definitely will not win - this guy is strong!!). Bear is always up for an adventure and some play time. He is working on his leash manners but loves a good car ride (road trip buddy?) and can never say no to a game of fetch in the backyard. Bear has a sweet, affectionate side - when he wants some love from you, he'll run right up between your legs and rub all over you, his white fluffy tail wagging! He loves his people and is very loyal - the best part of his day will be greeting you as you come home from work. He would love to chill with you on the couch to watch some TV at the end of the day. And maybe share a snack or two! Bear will thrive in a home where he has some structure and rules to follow. He can be stubborn, but he is very smart! We have been working together to sharpen up his sit, down, stay, and heel. He is a fast learner and is highly motivated by both treats and toys. He is dog selective but tolerable to female dogs. But because he is dog selective he needs to be the only pet in the home. This includes no livestock or feline pals. He's just not one who wants to share his home with other animal pals. He has lived with toddlers and children, he actually listens to children quite well. He is a bulldozer when he is excited and playing and can knock children down accidentally so BEAR that in mind. He just doesn't know how big he is and can't always hold back that energy, but it is never intentional. He's just a boy who LOVES to play. Bear is the perfect companion for an active person or family that has the time and patience to commit to giving him the exercise and structure he needs to thrive. He would do best with a fenced-in yard where he can run around, and for optimal daily games of fetch!
