We are still learning about Bear. He is only one-years old and only weights approximately 35 pounds.
Unfortunately, his original owner passed away and he was not well socialized by those who inherited him, so he is nervous around strangers. He may perceive them as a threat. Once he feels safe, he bonds very strong, and he will reward his owner with many snuggles.
Bear appears to get along well with cats. He tends to be dominant with dogs and might be aggressive towards ones that challenge him over resources or affection.
Because of Bear's lack of socialization in his early life, we recommend no children in his home, especially because he's been known to guard resources and show protective behavior around his trusted person.
