Bear

Bear can't seem to catch a break. He arrived initially after his family surrendered him due to not having enough time. Then he went to a home and went after the (2) other dogs. It was best for him to not live with other dogs and come back to the shelter. Most recently he was doing wonderful in his home, during an unfortunate event, he was startled and ended up biting his owner. Bear needs a home that will be on their toes and engage with him slowly. He is shy with new people, has handling sensitivity and needs a place to decompress. Bear wants to know that in his journey of trusting his next owners, they won't turn their back on him. Each time he gets returned to the shelter its harder and harder for him to believe there is a forever family that will ever take him. His idea home is where he is a solo pet, breed savvy adult home, low-traffic and gets to navigate life with his people. Our boy is 2yrs old, 76 pounds and neutered. He thrives when he is around the calmness of nature, he is strong on lead, so a fenced in yard is a plus for this boy. We know it's a BIG ask! Bear deserves it!!
