Beans

Meet Beans! Through no fault of his own, Beans found himself at an NC shelter and was not doing well on the adoption floor. A wonderful foster family took him in and here is what they had to say about him: Beans is a great, super sweet, well behaved dog. He is housetrained, crate trained (sleeps well in crate at night). He knows sit, is very treat motivated (but watch those fingers he really likes food). He is affectionate, likes to cuddle and be with his people. He also walks well on leash. He gets along with my older female dog (but very slow introductions with any dogs is a must to have him adjust well, him or any new dog). Beans has a rough/rowdy play style so he must be paired with a very tolerant dog that likes to play and is ok with rough play. We do not know how he is with cats or children at this time. Because of this, we recommend no cats and no small children. We believe he would be fine with children over 10 years old. He is an inside dog and should not be crated all day. He is a youngster and needs lots of exercise. An ideal home would be with a stay at home person or someone that can give him several good walks/play times each day. Beans rides very nicely in the car. He has been neutered, up to dates on all vaccines and microchipped. He is heartworm positive but please don't let heartworms deter you from taking him home, they are completely treatable and non contagious.
