Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run entirely by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. He has been spay/neutered, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. In addition, all pets adopted from Motley Zoo come with 30 days of free pet insurance provided by Shelter Care.
History: BB's former owner abandoned him at the vet. We are shocked and dismayed- but glad that we now have the opportunity to find him the best home he needs! One who appreciates his sweet, loving self!
Notes from BB’s Foster Home: Meet Big Bruno! He is a sweet and easy-going 10-year-old Border Collie who came to us after his former owner abandoned him at the vet. We are shocked and dismayed, but glad that we now have the opportunity to find him the best home he needs! One who appreciates his sweet, loving self!
Big Bruno does well with other dogs, and has been mixing it up with new people and kids too. He seems to fare just fine in everywhere, and is friendly and outgoing to meet. The neighborhood kids always get his tail wagging! He is a pretty easy-going older fellow, but he still has a fair amount of energy in there too- and enjoys walks or romps in the yard.
His back legs are a bit weak sometimes, but he is far from debilitated by them- just occasionally on a jump down from the car or truck, they tend to give just a bit. Glucosamine supplements will help him as he ages, helping lubricate his joints, and decrease any ache and inflammation of arthitis setting in. Swimming will help stregthen those muscles too!
Motley Zoo Animal Rescue does not have a shelter location. All rescues are housed in private volunteer foster homes. Please email [email protected] and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!
Thank you for considering adopting a dog in need!
