Baxter Seis - local boy

Thank you!** Meet Baxter Seis - a one year and 5 month old, 75 pound Boxer mix boy who was originally adopted as a young pup (we left up one of his original pictures so that you can see how precious he was as a baby). Unfortunately his family can no longer take care of him and he is being returned to us - to no fault of his own. This boy absolutely LOVES people! He would love to be with a family that is around most of the time to be with him. He will reward you with MANY cuddles for hanging out with him. He has lived with kids 4-9 and despite his size is so gentle with them. He absolutely would love to be in a family with kids again. This boy is very active and will need a family that is committed to getting him exercise. He is very good on his leash and loves walks. He is also great in the car so you can take him anywhere with you. And he really enjoys playing in the yard with his family so a fenced yard would be a plus. This boy is very smart and learns new things extremely quickly. He already knows sit, lay down, leave it and crate...and we know with continued training he would add many more skills to this list. His current foster shares "Baxter is doing so great here! He’s getting along great with my dog! Getting a lot of energy out. He’s really good! And so very sweet. He enjoys all dog toys and bones. LOVES food! He is super snuggly, and loves my 6 year old. HI would have to say I think he’s best with another dog to tire him out. He is a really good listener too. He is such a great dog!" He is housebroken and happily uses his crate with the door open. This boy deserves a new family to love him for the rest of his life! It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
