Baxter is an 11 month old Saint Bernard mix boy. He is a very big, goofy puppy with a penchant for mischief, including helping himself to water from the sink.
He is smart and eager to please, but he is no shrinking violet. He requires a home that can manage a big dog.
Any big dog has the potential to be a bully if allowed to have its way. Big dogs cannot be treated like a maltese because what is cute in a little dog may be a problem in a big dog.
Baxter is a very good boy and he loves his people. He has excellent indoor manners and is very well-behaved on a leash.
He is good with most other dogs (he has an unrequited love affair with a mastiff named Emma who will not give him the time of day) and he does love to play. He is fine with cats.
We will not place him in a home with small dogs or small kids because of his size.
He is an amazing dog and in the right home, will be a great pet.
