My Story

Update 3/26/09: Bart is being fostered at Camp Bow Wow and having a BLAST!! He is in Portland, Maine, if you would like to make an appointment to meet him, please email: [email protected].

Here's Bart! He's a young guy with striking, handsome markings and he's pretty lucky, too. After a small scrape with a car, he was almost put to sleep because nobody came to claim him. He was lucky enough to get placed in a foster home in Maine, and now he's ready to find his forever home.

Bart is sweet-natured, eager to please, and adoring of everybody. He's so easy going that his foster family's four-year-old can walk him on a leash. He gets along great with other dogs, and cats..and if a cat will play with him, he's game for that too. His house training has gone very well - no accidents!

Bart is still puppyish and loves to chew. He has lots of toys, but he still might try to sneak a shoe now and then. This is normal for a young dog, who has never had any formal training. He will need regular opportunities for exercise.

Bart's foster mom says Bart would do well in just about any family situation, especially one with other dogs or kids to play with. He's incredibly affectionate and loves to shower his people with happy attention and kisses.

History: Bart was taken to the vet after he had been grazed by a car; his injuries were minor. Noone claimed him and he was faced with euthanansia, so the vet called me and I took him into foster beginning of Feb.
