UPDATE: 11-3-08 Celabration for BARRY !! He is in a very loving and caring home,, with two dog mates and two cats and doing great ! He is getting lots of love and his 20 minute leash walks, feed the right foods, and is having a HOME LIFE OF A TIME !! BARRY DESERVES the BEST,, All the MHS staff is so very happy for him,, and he will be missed.. Barry became PART OF EVERYBODY at the shelter.. HE is the LITTLE OLD MAN -- that we ALL LOVE VERY MUCH,, BARRY, MHS WISHES YOU THE VERY BEST LIFE CAN OFFER !! ENJOY !! UPDATE: 10-26-08 BARRY is doing awesome ! He has lost weight and now holding his own, his skin has cleared up, he is being brushed and his coat looks nice and shinny. Barry now leash walks for 20 minute, twice a day - besides hanging out in the fenced in shelter yard. Barry needs a place that has only 2-3 stairs the most, to go up and down. He cannot do multiple stairs. 10-01-08 The Mass Humane Society is in need of an foster home for Barry, a very sweet and quiet 11-year old black lab mix. Barry's owners, who had owned him since he was a puppy, are moving and cannot take him. So the Mass Humane Society is searching for someone who would relish the companionship of a gentle guy with a few old age spots. Barry is used to resting his day away and as a result, he is a very overweight and would benefit from some exercise. Barry is on a special diet with some meds and needs exercise daily -- little by little. He needs two medication baths per week for his skin. MHS will supply all the necessary needs for Barry for the foster home. Barry has been around children and other pets all of his life. He is neutered, up-to-date on shots, and heart worm negative.
