Ten month old
Barley
is about the most endearing little bundle of Chocolate in town! He’s one who warms your heart when he gazes at you with his gorgeous soft yellow eyes. Barley’s foster mom is working hard to fatten up this pup who’s quite underweight at a mere 47 pounds. Barley is very willing to oblige by cleaning his plate morning, noon and night!
This little fellow is housetrained, makes heart melting eye contact, knows sit, has very nice leash manners, potties on command and is crate trained. Tickled to meet new friends, he needs some work on the “four on the floor greeting”. Barley would like to lounge on the furniture, but is learning sofas are for people. He’s not a chewer.
Barley loves walks and playing with toys, although fetching is a bit of a mystery. He gets along great with other dogs and is very playful. Once the wiggles are out with a walk or some other exercise he mellows out. His heart’s desire is to be near you and part of the family.
His foster mom tells us: “This puppy is SMART. He learns quickly and so wants to please. He bonded to me right away and looks to me for direction. He’s playful, but for a dog so young, he’s calm once he greets you. I think he will be a wonderful dog because he is anything but aloof. Everyone that’s met him thinks he’s a doll. With his winning personality, eagerness to learn and his smarts, he should be nominated as one of Denver’s most eligible up and coming bachelors!”
