My Story

UPDATE!!! Heeeere's Banjo!

Banjo is just about the sweetest dog I have ever met. He has arrived in New England from our partner shelter in Arkansas. He may be only 12 lbs, but he is a bundle of tail-wagging, kissy, playful energy!

Banjo loves everyone he meets, including men, women, kids, adults, big dogs, little dogs, cats, etc. He is little, but he's spunky and plays like a rock star wtih my 60 lbs dog. We believe he is a chihuahua/spaniel/shi tzu/cavalier king charles spaniel/mutt! Adorable, and one-of-a-kind.

He LOVES attention and wants nothing more than to be touching you at all times. He is learning to walk on a leash, but has a habit still of stepping under your feet and rubbing against your legs, like a cat. He also loves to bounce up and down and can jump about 4 feet vertical in the air! Pretty funny.

Banjo is working on housetraining, and has been pretty good. He sleeps through the night and can "hold it" in his crate during the day.

Banjo needs a family that will give him all the love he deserves. He is desperate for a family of his own, and will give that family more love than they could ever imagine. He LOVES to give kisses, sit in your lap, play, and cuddle, and will follow you everywhere. If you are looking for a dog that just wants to be your best friend, Banjo is your pup!

Banjo is approximately 2 years old. He was found on the street by a good Samaritan who brought him into our partner shelter. Banjo is very affectionate and playful. He loves being with people. Banjo is so cute when he stands on his two back legs and does a little dance. As with most dogs from the south, Banjo was most likely kept outside. So, he wil need to be housetrained. Banjo is heartworm negative and will receive all his vaccinations, along with his Heath Certificate before travel.
