Rare, hard to find White German Shepherd Dog (WGSD)
Bangles Lost her original owner when they passed away. She was taken in by a neighbor until Norsled got her. Once abused, now loved, she is a great dog for someone with a lot of home time. She likes to bark at squirrels, and sirens, but otherwise quiet. Without attention, she chews. Keep rawhide or such available. Can fetch, but loses interest after about six throws. Too many pluses to list.
At her current foster home, she gets on pretty well with a second, young male dog. She follows her foster dad all over the house (probably because it is another new environment for her) and is in the process of being crate trained. She knows sit and stay but needs more work on consistency. She does fine on leash if you set the right tone from the beginning. Surprisingly, she heels perfectly with a bike. Offleash she tends to truly heel by following at your footsteps, but will take the trail under command as well. She does well at the dog park but may bark occasionally at other large breeds if they linger nearby too long. She is an excellent seeker at outdoor hide-and-go-seek I cant win!! She travels very well in the car.
Adoption fee, interview, questionnaire, home inspection. Norsled rescues all have: spay/neuter, all necessary shots, microchipping, heartworm tests and other medical procedures as needed. Come to an adoption event to see Bangles but email her foster dad, Paul, at
[email protected] to make sure she is coming to a specific fair or to make other arrangements.
