My Story

JULY 9 update: Bandit went to a wonderful family on Tuesday. He has two great women that will love the heck out of him, give him plenty of exercise and even have a small farm. Should keep him busy! Best of luck Band-man! Poor Bandit keeps loosing out. He's a tough cookie in that his herding instinct keeps getting him in trouble. Bandit is going to do best in an adult family without cats or dogs. He can be territorial with other pets so its best not to place him in that position. He wants to please, wants to be a dog, wants to be next to you. Bandit would do great with a farm family where he'd have some room to run. If you can help this sweet dog, give the shelter a call. Bandit is a very very smart dog that wants to be active and be a dog. He is well trained although sometimes will not come right away. He had developed a slight aggression toward dogs and was returned to the shelter. I have had no problem with him and he has been with my two dogs numerous times since he's been back. At the shelter, he will fence fight with male dogs, but a firm NO stops it. Bandit is 3 and wants to be with his person and also to be a dog. He is not recommended for a family that has small children due to his possible aggression toward other dogs. Bandit travels well in cars, walks nicely on lead and loves to play. Could you consider this wonderful dog to be part of your family? Bandit came to us because his folks couldn't afford all the vet bills for all the animals. Bandit is 2 years old, dedicated to his person and a real fun loving boy. He enjoys being around people, going for walks, playing and doesn't even mind cats. He'll need some retraining as far as other dogs go as he was beat up by another dog in the family. He's well mannered and up to date on shots, heartworm and he is neutered. Come see this wonderful boy!
