My Story

Bandit's original shelter post said, "Pet appears to not like other animals. Would do best as an only pet." But if you look at the pictures of Bandit here at H3, you'll almost always see him near other dogs! This is a great reminder of how fear can change how a husky-or any dog, for that matter-reacts to the world. Here at the rescue, Bandit does well in all of the packs. He stands up for himself but doesn't go out of his way to cause fights. Whatever happened that caused the shelter to label him as an only pet seems to be gone now, most likely because it was a defense mechanism. Bandit is a super sweet and goofy boy who's almost four years old. He loves attention and is very food motivated. He enjoys lounging around, sunbathing, or chilling in the AC. Definitely a medium energy husky who would enjoy a few outings sprinkled among lots of comfy naps. And snacks. Bandit may have a common name, but there is nothing common about our playful, bouncy dude!
