Ban Chan

Hello, my name is Ban Chan, and I am a senior dog looking for a loving home. I am a sweet and affectionate with lots of love to give. Even though I may be older, I still have a playful side and enjoy my daily walks. I am a loyal companion and will stick by your side through thick and thin. I am a very curious and happy dog who likes to observe my surroundings and smell new smells. I enjoy other animals especially kitties and I think I like dogs too, though my interactions have been minimal. I also love children and people in general. I am a lovely companion and will be a great friend. My original owners decided that they would rather have a puppy and I was put outside about four years ago, and a concerned neighbor would walk by my fence every day. One day the owners say to the neighbors that could take me if she wanted, and that they did not want me anymore. The neighbor was very sad and upset that I was outside all day, and that my owners did not pay me any attention. So, the neighbor would come over every day and take me for a walk, it got to the point where she was the only one that would feed me and give me clean water. Finally, the neighbor said enough is enough and said that I deserve a better life and reached out to her friend that works in kitty rescue. The rescue agreed to take me on, even though I am a dog! Despite my age I had not been fixed, or received any vaccinations yet when I finally did go to the vet, my blood work came back as exceptional. I am in great shape, especially for my age! So, then I got fixed and vaccinated and removed from my old home and now am in foster care with kitties and children and people who show me love me every day. I am very excited to find my forever home and my forever family and begin a new chapter in my life, to finally live with a family instead of beside one, no longer outside and not forgotten. I am currently located in Hawaii with my foster, but I will be transported to Oregon as soon as I have some adoption opportunities lined up.
