My Story

10/19/08 - Austin found a home, Bailey still needs a home. 10/14/08 - We are brothers who share the same Irish Dad. Austin is 2 1/2 and Bailey is 3 years old and we are small, weighing only 30-35 pounds. Our owner had to suddenly give us up due to divorce and having to move back in with her parents. We are attached to each other but do get along with children, adults, and other dogs. We have not been around cats. We are neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, crate and house trained and come with our own crates. We like to be brushed, relax outside in the sunshine and are quiet boys! We are very loving and also know some basic commands. Our birthplace was in the Azores but we also lived in Portugal and ended our military travels in Montana. We would love to find our forever home with you! We are being fostered in Harrisburg,PA. They are the size of a field setter and look like one but have a white stripe on their noses and spots on their noses. Bodies are solid and they have some white on their paws. They are a nice size and nice looking. I have their crates, Flexi-leads,toys,blankets,food,dishes. We put their crates in the basement and they are there now. An application, vet reference, home visit and a drive to PA a must to meet our dogs! Adoption fee required. To find out more about the Irish Setter breed, click here. To adopt, please submit an Adoption Application.

Every dog in rescue is placed spayed/neutered and current on their shots. They are screened for temperment and we do our best to place the right dog in the right home. We require all rescue dogs be house dogs. Irish Setters do not do well being outside only dogs. If the dog does not work out, it must be returned to Irish Setter Rescue. Adoption fees range for an older dog, could be as low as $200 to as much as $350 for a younger dog. Our average adoption fees are $350 for up to age 1 year, $300 from 1 - 3 years, $250 age 4 - 6 years and $200 for age 7 - 9. Any age 10 or older we are just so happy that someone is able to provide them a forever loving home. We try to get our vet bills covered with the adoption fees.
