Bailey - Irondale

If the last thing you want is an overly friendly dog in your face, we have the perfect pup for you! Our dainty lady named Bailey keeps her distance and is content to be worshipped from afar. Bailey weighs about 19 pounds and is estimated to be about 1 1/2 years old. She is one of the dogs to come from a life-or-death situation, and thanks to some amazing volunteers, she and her friends Johnny, June, and Buster made it to warm, safe foster homes. Bailey loves her foster mom and likes to explore and play in the house; however, due to her past situation, she is still very nervous about new people and will take time to adjust to her new home and people. How long will it take? We don't know. We just know that Bailey is healing and making progress in the few weeks she has been safe. Bailey does not like to be touched or snuggled yet, but her foster mom is slowly breaking down those barriers. She needs a confident foster who doesn't need instant gratification but is instead in it for the long haul to build a deep and lifelong bond with Bailey.
