Bailey

THIS DOG IS IN A FOSTER HOME AND NOT AT THE SHELTER. Bailey is a purebred female Walker Coonhound estimated to be around 2 years of age. Bailey came to the shelter after a man found her in a wooded area in the area where he was working. After noticing her for 3 days, and with the weekend coming and bad weather approaching, he brought her to the shelter for safekeeping. Bailey is a very sweet girl...and one who has been bred several times in her short life as evidenced by her teets. Upon having her checked by the shelter vet, his only comment was "she was in good health other than being bred to death". It is obvious to us that whomever owned Bailey previously considered her nothing more than a breeding machine. We are now looking for a better life for Bailey where she can lounge and live in the lap of luxury for the rest of her life. Her breeding days are over as SHE WILL BE SPAYED prior to leaving the shelter. Bailey would make an excellent pet for children or just about any type of family. She is laid back and rather quiet for a coonhound. She lives to love and please humans, which is amazing since her last human owner had no respect or love for her or she would not have been treated in this manner.
