My Story
Hi Everyone,
My name is Bailey, and I'd love to share my story with you. I was adopted as a little puppy during that unusual time called COVID. Because of the lockdowns, my family and I stayed home a lot, and I didn't get to see much of the world. This made me pretty scared of new experiences and people.
Meeting new people was really hard for me, and eventually, my family decided they couldn't keep me anymore. They called one of my favorite people to let them know, and soon I was back at the rescue.
It's been almost a year since I returned to the rescue. I spent some time at the shelter before moving to a foster home, where I've been learning so much. I know how to sit, stay, watch, touch, and even do "down," though sometimes I get confused and try to give my paw instead.
In my foster home, I'm discovering that not everything in this world is scary. At first, I was afraid of everythingthe wind, cars starting up, thunder, and even the sound of people nearby. But I've been working really hard, and my foster mom says I'm the best girl. We just need to find the perfect home that understands me. She assures me it's out there, and we just haven't found it yet.
I love snuggling and would thrive in a calm, quiet home where I can be the best couch potato. I enjoy my chew toys and can shred a stuffed toy in minutes, making it "snow" inside the house, according to my foster mom.
I currently live with another dog, but she doesn't like other dogs, so we don't hang out. However, I enjoy playing with the neighbor's dogs through the fence. It might take me some time to get to know you, so multiple meet-and-greets are a must. But if you give me a chance, I promise to show you the best of me. I'm crate trained, house trained, and I never get into things that aren't mine.
So, what do you say? Would you like to meet me and give me a chance? You can fill out an application, and my foster mom will give you a call to tell you more about me. I have to go nowI think I hear my foster mom calling me for mealtime!
Hope to meet you soon,
Bailey
