Cardi is part of the "C Litter." This sweet girl and her four siblings came to us from an overcrowded shelter in Southern Virginia. Cardi is an incredibly social and playful puppy. She is so excited to meet everyone - people, dogs, and cats alike. She can happily run and play until she wears herself out but is equally happy to be a cuddle bug. She would be fantastic in a home with other animals and kids. Cardi is taking well to house training and we don't expect it to take long until she is fully trained. Cardi is staying with a foster family while searching for her forever home. Could that be with you? Cardi is your typical friendly and loving puppy. She does great with all the dogs she meets. Cardi loves to play, but she is also very gentle. At her young age, she is in her prime for training and socialization too. Please remember that young puppies require a lot of time, love, and patience to become the best canine citizens they can be. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
