Axel

Axel is a gorgeous mix seeking an active family. His DNA analysis says Staffie/Pit/Husky/Aus Shep. He has lived with a foster family for over one year. He is a good house dog. He is very smart, highly trainable, and very athletic - running, swimming, fetching. He knows sit, shake, wait, down, and off. His fur is soft and never smells "doggy"! He gets along with dogs and would love a similarly tempered playmate (run! chase!), but would also do well in a single-dog household. He currently lives with Truffles, a female Pit mix who is the boss. Axel is good with all people (snuggler!), but may overpower small children in play. He is calm and confident. He requires a kind, firm, consistent family. He is a great walker and enjoys car rides. Like to hike? Axel is your companion! A fenced yard is a must, though he is not an escaper. Axel is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. All adoptions are $10 and by appointment only. In California, dogs must be licensed in their county of residence.
