AVA-Adopted!

January UPDATE:
Sweet Ava has a home to go to in the New Year! Way to start a new year and a new life! Congrats AVA!

December Update:

Ava is a happy little dog, who loves to play with squeaky toys and follow her foster mom around the house. Ava is like a puppy, but house trained and well behaved at home! Ava is great on an on leash walk and heels well. She is anxious when nearing strangers and strange dogs, however she is small and easy to manage even when she is anxious. She is great with all the dogs in the foster home, including 2 bossy females!
Ava needs to go to a home where she will be loved and cuddled. socialized and exercised, and well fed.
Ava is unsure about new people, so will need to be introduced to lots of nice people so she learns that they are not all as bad as her first owners were.
We think it would be good for Ava to go to dog training for socialization and to bond with her leader. Ava is a sweetheart who deserves much better than she got in her first home.
The more walking Ava does, the happier she is! Ava loved going for a walk with her foster family of dogs and was very good on the leash. Ava's little tail is wagging allot now and she is enjoying playing with squeaky toys too!

Upon Arrival:

Little Ava is feeling so much better after only two days out of the shelter. She's eating well and getting lots of sleep. She has ventured outside with her foster pals and is wagging her tail at her foster mom. She is a little lap dog who likes to be cuddled.
Ava is a mini-pei and only weighs 25 pounds. She was so frightened in the shelter that she wouldn't eat for 3 days when she arrived. She does need to gain some weight and will fill out a bit but is still going to be a sweet and petite Pei.

She is being fostered in a multi-dog home and has lived in the past with a male and a female dog.

The kind hearts at the shelter in Washington state contacted TNT for help and she is in now in Vancouver, BC where she is getting lots of TLC!

Ava will be spayed and have entropian eye surgery soon. Once she has had her needed surgeries and gained a bit of weight she will be ready for a new home.
