Aurora ADOPTED

12/11/09: Two days ago, Aurora was hit by a car after being abandoned on the highway. Then, those searching for her after she was hit, lost sight of her so Aurora laid alongside the highway all night in the cold till she was re-discovered in the morning. We rushed her to the vet and he said she does not appear to have any broken bones, tho she may possibly have a pelvic fracture as she is quite painful in her pelvis. Fortunately she seems to be showing improvement already on anti-inflammatory meds and crate rest. Aurora will need a home once she has recuperated. She has been vaccinated and PAWS will arrange to have her spayed if a Rescue program is interested. She seems to be sweet and friendly, will update as we learn more. Aurora is about 35 - 40 lbs and we believe she is full sized and about 1 year old. All we know now is that she is not good w/ cats. Please help Aurora! 12/15/09: New pics posted were taken today. Aurora is afraid of other dogs but seems to be getting a little better day by day as she learns that the other dogs here will not harm her. Over time, we hope she will gain confidence and trust in other dogs.
