Sweet little Astrid was able to escape a breeding facility & come into LWDR Along with 4 other wonderful friendly little Westies. All of these Westies went directly to the vet for their health tests & check ups, and vaccaintions and their spays.
Their Puppy making days are Over & now they can become wonderful very loved family members!
They do not behave like typical breeding dogs and really want attention and lots of love. They all get along great with other dogs.
All of these 5 Westie girls are ready to visit the doggie spa and groom so keep checking back for updated photos.
They all have nice Westie coats and very perky ears & beautiful Westie eyes
Astrid weighs 15.7 lb. & her birthdate is: 5/16/07
When they arrived at our vet's office and we were weighing these Westies Astrid was very gentle & loving. .
Sweet little Astid already had a little "trim" before she arrived in LWDR. We will see what we can do you help he "bad hair day". She has a good looking coat (what is left of it after her trim)...and of course, we all know...it will grow! Now that she is in LWDR, she will be on a healthy diet & have the Very Best of care, so keep checking for Updates & photos about sweet little Astrid !
9/17/10-UPDATE from Astrid's Foster Family:
Hi everyone it's Astrid here. My foster mom says I need to write an update for my bio page (whatever that is). My family calls me Abby now and I really like that and know my name.
I have learned LOTS of things since getting out of that cage I had been kept in having babies. I love to run in the grass in my yard and I have learned that toys and friends are great. I enjoy going on walks and mom says I'm doing well on a leash. I do all these things when I am with the other dogs in my foster family. If I go someplace without them I am very scared and forget how to act. Sometimes I jump at noises but then recover quickly.
Mom says I would do great in a family with or without hu-kids but really need furkids to help me out. I have earned lots of privledges this week! I now can sleep in my foster parents room at night (sometimes even in their bed) and I don't have to be gated in the kitchen when they leave during the day anymore. Mom says I am such a good girl and learn very quickly!
I know my hair still looks funny but it is growing out and mom says soon I will be as beautiful on the outside as I am on the inside, whatever that means!
The suggested adoption donation for Astrid is $350-450, is tax-deductible, and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.
