Hubba, hubba, HUSKY! Can you say me-ow? This gorgeous girl is Asia. She's a 7 year old Alaskan Husky mix weighing about 50 pounds. Asia is one of those ready-to-go kind of dogs: she's housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic commands like sit and shake. She previously lived in an apartment so she's well acquainted with being on a leash and isn't too loud either. See? She's ready to fit right in with your household! Huskies typically need LOTS of exercise but Asia doesn't seem to have as much husky energy as others so she doesn't require the level of activity that other huskies do. She does love to chase toys...but don't expect her to actually bring them back. It's all about the chase for Asia! Asia also isn't as outgoing as a typical husky. She's a little shy when meeting new people but, heck, so am I! Once she gets to know you a bit, she'll follow you around and paw for attention. She is adorable and she has lots of love to give with her sweet personality. Asia loves admiring the squirrels in the yard (heh) so a privacy fence would be a good option for her (though it is not a requirement for adoption). When we asked her foster what she could improve upon she mentioned that she does feed Asia in her crate with the door shut as she does like to guard her food. So even though Asia is dog-friendly, it's best to feed her away from other dogs in the home and pick her bowl up once empty. That's a pretty easy work around! Asia's adoption fee is $175 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/tick & heartworm preventatives.
