URGENT! ASHLEE NEEDS A PERMANENT OR TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME ASAP!! Ashlee is a female Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix currently residing at the shelter. Ashlee is one of the shelters best! She has the shorter coat of the Heeler with tan markings around her legs and the Blue Merle markings around her face and body. She also has one blue eye and one brown eye, typical of Australian Shepherds. Ashlee is probably the best dog at the shelter right now as far as behavior and personality. She is estimated to be 1-1.5 years of age and to weigh approximately 30 lbs. or so. Ashlee came to the shelter as a stray from the Route 2565 area of Louisa. She has a short coat for easy maintenance and has a very calm demeanor to her. This girl would be a great dog for a farm as she loves everything and everyone but she would be an ideal companion for any type of family. She gets along well with other dogs and is calm and sweet enough for a child of any age. She may be housetrained as she is very clean iin her kennel though there are no guarantees.
