My Story

YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS. Wonderful Ashe appears to be a 4 month old, 27 pound designer breed who found himself in an overfilled county shelter. Of course we had to scoop him up right away! We really do not know what breed mix he is but his fur has a lovely silky texture with just a little bit of slightly wiry fur thrown in. Maybe a Schnoodle or a flat coated Labradoodle?? Who knows! He is not non shedding. This delightful boy is 100% puppy, super sweet and likes water! He likes to have fun in typical bouncy puppy fashion. He is a friendly, happy and energetic puppy who loves to run and play and thinks baby pools are great. He does fine with other dogs and, even though he obviously had not had prior training, he seems to have been well socialized. If you love walking, running, or hiking, Ashe will be the perfect companion for your adventures! He enjoys toys. Ashe will probably be happiest in an energetic family setting where he has another friendly dog and some kids or else adventuresome grown ups to keep him entertained. He will definitely need a good walk or two each day and some games to wear him out so he can be nice and tired and a good boy when it is time for family to relax for the evening. He would probably best in a family with older kids since he still likes to jump for joy and may knock over a toddler in his enthusiasm. A fenced yard and a doggie friend would be ideal so he can run off some of that puppy energy. His new family should have the time and patience to help this charming puppy learn manners and all the other things he needs to know to become the amazing adult he was meant to be. Ashe is doing a good job with his potty training in his foster home. He may have an accident if he is not taken out immediately after a fun play session, common with puppies who are learning. His new home will need to continue to potty train him and take him out after meals, playtime, immediately upon awakening and before bed. Basically, he needs to be on a schedule like any puppy. He is doing well with his crate training, too. (necessary while a new puppy is learning house rules and potty training so he won't chew on stuff or have accidents) He may complain about it a bit but then settles down nicely when he realizes that barking does not get him his way. He does have a big boy bark already. He will be available after August 1st when he gets his second puppy shots. He was neutered 7/18. Adoption donation $450 Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
