Handsome Arlo is ready to go! Arlo was one of 7 dogs rescued from a scary backyard breeding situation in North, South Carolina where he and his friends were roaming outside, uncared for and covered in fleas and ticks. Now healthy and learning how wonderful life is, Arlo is ready to find his forever family! Arlo has a smooth, beautiful black coat with the cutest tan markings and bright, expressive eyes. He is a eight-month-old Hound mix and currently weighs 32 pounds. Because of his uneasy start, he can be a little shy at first, but he warms quickly to new people and responds wonderfully to love and patience. Once he blossoms, he enjoys bouncing around and entertaining all with his goofy antics. Arlo would love a yard to run around in, and he does well with other dogs and kids. He may challenge you to a zoomies competition, but 10/10 times, he will win. He is a vocal boy and loves a good conversation, so dont be surprised when he comes out of his shell and talks to anyone who will listen. He loves toys that make noise. His motto is the squeakier, the better when it comes to toys. Arlo would do wonderfully at home with other dogs, cats, or children - this social boy loves everyone! Arlo is very well-mannered on a leash and just needs a bit of encouragement and some positive affirmations to keep him motivated. He is working hard on his crate training. Arlo is so grateful that he has a second chance at happiness, and he hopes you will consider being his forever family!
