My Story
Archie is not big and fluffy, nor what we were expecting.
A shelter asked if we could take in an irish wolfhound mix, and sent us a picture of him. The angle they took the pic at, he looked like a wolfie, so we agreed to take him.
Needless to say, we were shocked when we discovered he weighed a mere 35 pounds!.
Even so, he is a wonderful, sweet, adorable dog, and we really didn't mind that he didn't turn out to be as proposed.
He has the build and size of an irish terrier, with the coloring of a schnauzer, is about a year old, and has a low maintenance, low-shed coat.
He is a very outgoing, friendly, bouncy, energetic little guy.
He is great with other dogs of all sizes, and needs a playmate in his new home.
He loves cats, and tries to play with them, but has no intent to harm them.
He would be fantastic with children about 6 and up, who wouldn't be overwhelmed by his bouncy nature.
He does like to chew, and is a terrier, so wants to investigate and get into everything, so appropriate toys and proper supervision when loose in the house are necessary.
He is completely crate trained, and is doing very well with house training.
He is just a happy, comical, energetic little guy, who would be the ideal pet for an active family that wants a dog to match.
