Arcadia is a male German Shepherd mix who was born approximately November 2021 (our best guess since he came from the shelter). Arcadia was named after simple pleasure and this sweet boy is a parvo survivor who is described as the sweetest boy and snuggle bug! He loves car rides but is not fond of the crate (he will reluctantly use one but will growl and put up a fuss. He is totally trustworthy in the home so his foster family has not required him to crate. Arcadia is an opportunist, so if you happen to leave a delectable tidbit lying about on the counter-he will happily help himself. He is great with other dogs around his size, we have not had him around smaller dogs. Cats that stand their ground and are dog savvy he seems to respect. Arcadia would benefit from some one-on-one continued training. He responds best to gentle praise more than a stern voice. He would be a great solo dog or friend for another canine companion. A fenced yard is preferred but an active individual or family that will keep him physically stimulated would also work. If there are children in his forever home, we recommend over the age of 8.
