April is a female, basset hound/dachshund mix weighing 15 lbs. She was born approximately mid-April, 2009. She is being fostered by SNIPSA in a home in San Antonio after she was rescued from San Antonio's Animal Control. She had been found as a stray, hanging around a car wash and had been turned into Animal Control.
April is an adorable, VERY sweet and affectionate puppy who gets along great with other dogs and ADORES young children, letting them crawl over her and play with her. She is a very intelligent puppy ... a quick learner and very eager to please. April is the smallest dog in her foster home, but she doesn't let that get in her way of romping around the yard, playing tug-o-war, or soaking up all the attention she can get. April is completely housebroken and crate-trained. At the end of the day when she is ready for bed she will crawl into her crate, curl up on the towel and go to sleep. April would do best in an active home with at least one other dog. She is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.
