My Story

Update: 1/19/08
All of these precious puppies have been adopted into wonderful families. Thank you to all who were interested in them.

Update: 1/10/2008
Yesterday 1/10/2008 the boys turned 3 months old and the wonderful Standard Poodle personality is really blooming. These little guys are very smart, attentive, especially loving and growing fast. I feed them in an extra large crate when they are in the house. Each time when I let the boys out of my vanity area they will each run into the crate where the food in and then each boy will run back out of the crate to give me a "love you" greeting before they go back in to eat.

On sunny days the boys enjoy playing outside in their play area. There are graduated sizes of a cross cut tree that make especially enjoyable "steps" to play on and sit on to be up high. They run and play in and out of the doghouse inside their secure play place.

The one female was adopted by a family who wants to train her to be part of a Therapy Dog team....What a wonderful life for this little girl and what a blessing she will be to many folks who need some Standard Poodle loving care!

Our Story: 12/21/2007
We are 9 week old Standard Poodle Puppies. We are 4 brothers and 1 sister in a litter who were rescued together. We were born Oct. 10th 2007
We are told that under all the dirt that we are Apricot and Cream colored.
We are dirty, but we are safe and warm with full tummies. We are enjoying playing before we settle down to sleep again. We got to play outside in real dirt and there were trees and sticks and toys to play with. We only got to explore for a few minutes, then it started to sprinkle rain so we had to come inside for our supper.

We are thin under all our fluffy coats. Now that we will have lots of good food, fresh water and place to run and play we will fill out quickly.
We are all happy puppies and give sweet puppy kisses and our tails can wag very fast. We love to run and play, but we also love to snuggle down into our new Mom's arms for a special time of loving, she says we are precious babies!

We each have a Registration Application that comes with us, we do not know what that is. We were told some folks might like that piece of strange paper with lots of little boxes on it. Mom says we are not allowed to tear that paper into tiny pieces....
We like to tear up paper and play tug a war with it. We like to bark and pull each others ears and legs and tails.....Mom says we are "romper stomping"! Please watch for new pictures of us after we get baths and are all clean. We just got to our new home late at night so Mom wants us to eat and rest then get a baths tomorrow. We want to know what a bath is.....Mom says it is like playing in warm water and getting rubbed all over with nice smelling white stuff to get the dirt off of us, she says Poodles like water....so we think we will like it? We will let you know what we think after we our baths.

UPDATE #1: 12/26/07
We liked our baths! The water was warm and we sat and enjoyed the white foamy stuff. It was fun to watch it go down out of the sink.....Mom blotted the water off of us dry with a towel. Aunt Ruth had another soft towel to rub us most of the way dry. The next part was a little scary, Aunt Barbie said the warm wind was making us dry. When we were nice and clean Aunt Jean said we were awesome puppies and she called the special lady who helped rescue us to tell her how beautiful we were. We hope you enjoy our new pictures. Mom says we were posing to show off because we were nice and clean.
We got to run all around in mom's room while she took lots of pictures of us looking very cute. It felt so good to be clean! We ran and played with each other and some fun things to chew on.

We are very happy puppies eating lots of good food and we like to drink lots of water too. We have learned that it makes mom happy when we go potty on the paper in our special place mom has set up for us.....so when we are playing in mom's room and we need to to "wet" or "stinky" we stop playing and run in and go "potty" on the paper...This makes our mom laugh and tell us we are very smart, very special puppies!

We will only be adopted as inside family members to homes where the Standard Poodle is known and loved.
