Meet Apollo! He is 32 pounds, 4 months old, and we think he may be a Chocolate Lab Retriever mix, but with rescue its always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! He is a lovely chocolate brown all over, with a patch of white at his chest (perfect for scratches). We love his milk chocolate nose and floppy ears. Apollo has a regal bearing to him reminiscent of the Greek God hes named after, and its only emphasized by his slightly jowly cheeks that we find so adorable. Like his siblings, Apollo has stunning eyes you will find yourself mesmerized every time you gaze into them. (Hes successfully hypnotized all of us to give him more treats, lol.) Apollo is definitely food-motivated, so we are hoping that makes training that much easier. He warms up quickly to new people and other dogs. He does well with his much larger foster dog sibling, and of course, loves to play and romp outside with them all. He especially loves to be outside - the tanning ledge in the pool is the best place to be in this heat, lol. His favourite thing to do? Puppy napping with his siblings all in a pile, wherever he lands its adorable! Apollo also loves to hop on the couch and take a nap right next to you. His next favourite thing is chest scratches and belly rubs, and its irresistible when he asks for them. His foster says that he is great in the car, and just wants to give you kisses - this lovable big boy! Apollo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
