My Story

Name: Anthony Age: Estimated 2.5 years (Born around January 2020) Sex: Neutered male Weight: 33 lbs (Currently slightly underweight; ideal weight 35-37 lbs) Energy Level: Medium-low Photos and videos: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/dUJtqKqvKeJBA78q9] Why Anthony is Special Anthony is a quiet, gentle boy who would be the perfect officemate and is great with car rides. He would thrive in a multi-dog household with patient adults or families with dog-savvy children who can respect his space and help him gain confidence. His past trauma may require slow introductions to new experiences and consistent positive reinforcement. Rescue Background Anthony was found tied up at a neglected rural property, restricted by a short leash. Now rescued and fostered in Seoul, South Korea, he is learning to trust and enjoy a more peaceful life. He will fly to the US once he finds a suitable family in the Northeast US! Personality & Behavior • People: He is initially wary of strangers but warms up with treats. He may be nervous about touch but becomes very dependent and affectionate once he trusts you. It can take over a month to earn his complete trust. • Other Dogs: Desires to play with calm dogs, engaging gently but may not fully understand how to play effectively. Coexists peacefully with dogs of all sizes. • Cats & Other Animals: Indifferent, showing no interest or aggression. Home Life & Training • Home Alone: Handles being alone for up to 9 hours without any signs of separation anxiety. • Travel: Travels well by car, waiting patiently and calmly without getting carsick. • Walks: Walks well on a leash but may pull when scared or in noisy environments. Improving with more exposure. • Training: Responds well to crate training and basic commands once trust is established. Fully house-trained for outdoor elimination. • Vocalization: Quiet and rarely barks unless necessary. Foster Home Environment Anthony lives peacefully with a family that includes a mother, her daughter, and six other dogs ranging from 9 to 66 lbs and aged 3 to 15 years. He interacts well with everyone and prefers peaceful coexistence. Daily Routine • Morning: Wakes at 7 AM, eats breakfast at 7:30 AM, and goes for a morning walk. • Daytime: Sometimes goes to work with his foster mom; otherwise, stays home comfortably. • Evening: Enjoys an evening walk and dinner around 8 PM, followed by a quick night walk before bed around 1 AM.
