Canine Shelter Rescue found out about Anne Marie and another female boxer from an urgent email sent out by the Shelter in Newberry, SC. These girls were found as strays. Both of them are extremely emaciated and Animal Control thinks they was used for breeding and when they were no longer of value to the breeders they dumped both of them to fend for themselves. Anne Marie and Hope are also heartworm positive. Anne Marie also has pneumonia.
Look at her pictures to see her condition and ask your self who could do this to a dog. Their are greedy monsters everywhere. Anne Marie is just as sweet as you could ever want a dog to be.
Anne Marie will need months of special care and good food. It will also be at least 4 to 6 weeks before she will be strong enough to undergo her spay surgery. In spite of all of this Anne Marie is sweet, eager to please and will smother you with boxer kisses. She deserves a family that will love her!!!!!!
UPDATE 12/7/08-Anne Marie had her spay surgery on 12/5/08. She also had to have a mammary gland tumor removed. This type of tumor comes from being bred way too many times. The surgery was over 3 hours and 100 stitches. She was full of infection on the inside...such a shame. Anne Marie is at 51 pounds now and doing great. Both Anne Marie and Hope must have a divine appointment with a human family somewhere...all odds were against these girl and they survived anyway. We will have updated pictures soon.
DONATIONS ARE DESPERATELY NEEDED TO HELP COVER THE COST OF MEDICAL CARE FOR ANNE MARIE.
